Golden Bell of Cabuyao, Laguna

Where is it now?


The Church Bell every time the sunshines is glittering like a gold.

That is why it is called the Golden Bell.

It is said to have come from Mexico.

According to the Elders people, its excessive volume.

And sometimes the pregnant woman gives birth prematurely when it is heard.

Because the church bell was the one who woke up every morning.

They wondered why there wasn’t any sound that morning.

According to eyewitness accounts.

The rain was so heavy, the ground softened and the church collapsed

at its location on the lake of Brgy. Marinig.

People saw it and immediately took it

in their desire to save the Bell

They were stranded in the river of Brgy Mamating now Brgy. Mamatid.

The Civil Guards caught up with them,

it is suspected that they are pursuing a Pirate.

And the boat capsized and the Golden Bell sank with it.

recovered.

Where is Campo Santo?

The cemetery opposite the church of St. Policarp Parish

 is called “Campo Santo”.

Made under the leadership of friar Fray Mariano Gomez

 and mayor Jose Deasanta Rivera in 1852.

It is now the site of the “Poor Clare Monastery”.

 in Brgy. Uno, Cabuyao, Laguna.



The devotees who come offer eggs

to pray that they would have a child.

And there is also something to pray for when the weather is bad.

Egg offerings were distributed for the poor.

Because of this miracle, many went to St. Clare in 2012.
